How does SmoothLase work?

Dr. Welty directs the SmoothLase’s intense beam of light at targeted areas of the skin, where it penetrates deeply. This causes mild heating and damage to specific cells that die off. Will I see the results immediately?

No. SmoothLase’s benefits begin to show within two to three weeks, although some patients may need more than one treatment before seeing significant changes.

What does it feel like?

Collagen stimulation is not a painful treatment, although you may feel a sensation of heat or mild discomfort, particularly toward the middle of the lips, where there are many nerve endings. Any tenderness, mild swelling, or tingling you may experience is temporary and will quickly fade.
